Week 2 of the Clifton Diocese Living Your Faith Summer Camps is now underway and we have welcomed 13 young people to Nympsfield to start their week of fun, faith and friendship. There were lots of familiar faces but also some of people who are here for their first experience of camp.
Everyone settled in well and by the time dinner had arrived, people were chatting comfortably with each other and you didn’t know who was nervous! Big excitement over the pudding too with lots of ooooos as it was revealed to everyone!
In the evening, Steve was quizmaster as he put people through their paces in general knowledge, maths, the previous 12 months and a music round. There was even a round with dingbats. The adult team was disqualified for getting their team name wrong which left the door open to everyone else. Only 3 points in it in the end!
Fr Tom led us in Night Prayer, a very reflective one on our hopes and things that were causing us to have those hopes blocked or our paths a bit more difficult. Everyone lit a candle to symbolise those hopes before God and ask him for help in getting them realised. A lovely way to end our evening and everyone went off to bed eager to see what Tuesday had to offer!
Keep checking back here for updates about the week and what we have been up to.
